Unity Challenge Wednesday!

It's finally here! Officially, it's no longer a hop, but more of a HUNT...check out the bloggers who are participating to find the candy (aka freebie) on someone's site! The challenge this week is to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a Design Team member's card (click on that link to find the blogs to surf for your chance to win!). I chose THIS card by AJ Otto...I love the simple layout and the graphic look of the partial images. Here's my card:

I changed the colors, stamp set, and embellishments, but kept the layout and the partial-image look. I also decided to use Bitty Christmas Tags, the set I *WON* last week at Unity's Hip Hop Thursday (It's every week! Check out the forum tomorrow!)

This card was pretty simple...I cut eight 1" squares and punched one 1 1/4" square in the Very Vanilla, then eight 1 1/8" squares and punched the scalloped square out of Ruby Red. I stamped partial images of eight of the adorable Christmas images from the set on the small squares, and colored them with my Blender Pen. On the center image square, I stamped the angel, wiping off a 'stripe' to fit the sentiment. I adhered the small squares first, leaving a 1/4" border all around, then adhered the center image, using dimensionals under the scalloped square *and* the image square. I added three little 'candy dots' to the corner, and the card was done! Easy peasy *smiles*
