A very posh paper-pieced bridal shower card

...Just try saying that 3 times fast! This is a card I made for my cousin, Laura, who is getting married this fall.Laura is the middle of 5 children. The three youngest are "the girls", and they are very close. I can't imagine how different it will be for them once Laura is married and moves out of their apartment!

I made this particular card for Laura because all three of them are the epitome of *classy*. So I thought of this very posh-looking lady, then decided she should have a matching umbrella to go with her high-fashion outfit. (since it was a shower, after all! *wink*)

I cut the basic shape of the umbrella out with my Coluzzle circle template, then messed around until I had perfect scallops across the bottom, cut with my circle punch. (This was the 3rd try). To get the scallops even, I measured the umbrella's width across the bottom, then figured out what would be evenly divisible, and measured that length across my circle punch (underneath) and marked the metal so I'd punch the same amount each time. ...Hmm, that sounds about as clear as mud, eh? I'll try to take a picture of the punch so you'll have a clearer idea later!

Hope you have a fantastic day, and happy stamping!
~Michelle
