Three posts in one day!! Can you believe it? This is the card I made for today's Limited Supplies Challenge (LSC184) - to make a card or project with a coffee image and the color orange. Happily, this adorable image was in Unity's August KOTM, or I'd have *no* coffee images to work with. I've also realized that this is the 3rd patterned paper that I've altered *with orange*...apparently my paper stash is seriously lacking in the orange department, since I have to keep coloring parts of other colored papers in with my Mineral Orange Prismacolor!
I stamped the image on Sahara Sand with my Chocolate Chip ink pad, and colored in with Prismacolors. I love how using the Sahara Sand let me color the cups and the steam with white, and have a colored background. I colored the hearts and some of the swirls with a beige color, to look like cream or foam, and edged the tray with some more orange to tie everything in together.
I matted the image twice, with very thin mats (maybe 1/16"...probably closer to 1/32"!) of Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip, and mounted it to the card with foam tape, after adhering my custom-colored DP panel and tying on some satin ribbon. I stamped the sentiment 'Stir it up' directly on the bottom right corner of the card base with Chocolate Chip. Here's a close-up of the mats around the image panel and the coloring on the DP:
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a fantastic weekend!
