A HHT Kid Challenge, and a card for the Juices...

First up: a card for this challenge, posted by Jeanne S in the Unity Forum on SCS. The challenge was to "Make a card using Unity Stamps that you could give to a child", and this is what I came up with:
The first thing I thought of was my new October KOTM from Unity, and the adorable images, but none are particularly 'kid'. Then I saw these adorable pumkins, and thought of the nickname my dad has for me, and inspiration hit! I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base, and stamped 'Cutie Pie' from Mix-Up of Cuteness all over the background. Then I spelled out my 'Pumpkin' using flocked letter stickers on a scrap of Very Vanilla, and stamped 'hi there' to make my sentiment. I cut a larger piece of Sage Shadow, and scalloped the top edge with my corner rounder. For the image, I stamped the pumpkins on a scalloped circle, and colored them in with my blender pens. I added two more scalloped circles (with the centers cut out using my Coluzzle) to the top, popping up the Wild Wasabi layer with foam tape. I tied on the ribbon, then added the image piece over the top, using more foam tape to adhere it to the card base.

This next card is for tonight's Creative Juices meeting. Again, the main inspiration was my October KOTM, and the colors of the adorable buttons:

The card base is a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Wild Wasabi, folded in half to make the A2 size. I stamped the image on a scrap of Whisper White, and used that to size the Apricot Appeal and Pink Pirouette layers, making them longer to accomodate the buttons. I colored in the image with my blender pens, and sponged the edges with Pretty in Pink. The white layer and the pink layer are popped up using foam tape. I tied on the ribbon, stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner using Wild Wasabi ink, and added the buttons with Mini Glue Dots.

Thanks for stopping by!
~Michelle
