WOW! and Unity Christmas Swaps

Have you checked out Angela's Watch out Wednesday post yet?? Go look, then come back! I'll wait...

ISN'T THAT SO COOL??!?!?!? Yeah, I'm on Cloud 9...and I think I'll be here awhile! *smiles* Thank you so much, Angela, for featuring me on your blog (and for making me sound so good)!! You are just the sweetest, and I love love love Unity! (and just so you know, Angela, this: "{I think I may have to do that, MICHELLE! - I miss EDWARD!}" is exactly why I decided to re-read the series! *wink*)

Thank you to everyone who has given me such sweet comments on the WOW feature, too! I love 'hangin' with you all on SCS (and at Juices!), and so appreciate all the love you've given me! {{hugs!}}

OK, now back to our regularly scheduled program! I'm showing the card I made for the Unity Christmas Swap, so if you don't want to see it, look away now...

I think it came out super cute, but I wish I hadn't done something where *everything* was paper-pieced! I had to make 6 of these, and was covered with glitter! LOL I started with a base of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Soft Sky cardstock, which I scored at 3 1/2" and 2" to make an off-center gate-fold A2 base. I layered on a panel of Wild Wasabi that was 3 3/4" x 5", then a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" panel of Pink Pirouette, then a 3 3/8" x 4 5/8" panel of Whisper White. I stamped the WW base with 'silent night' from Bitty Christmas Tags, and accented it with a Stickles-covered pink brad. (The Wild Wasabi is only adhered to the card base on the left side of the fold, so that the card opens in the middle.)

I stamped the owl on Soft Sky cardstock, and the tree three times on Jersey Shore dp. I stamped the swirl from July's KOTM journaling block on Whisper White using my Essential Glue Pad, and sprinkled white glitter over the top for 'snow'. I also stamped the scarf onto Pink Pirouette with the glue pad, and used pink glitter on it.

Then, I cut everything out...that took awhile. Wish I'd considered that I'd be making 6 of these before I started!

I assembled the scene, using foam tape under the 'snow', two of the trees, and the owl to give everything a bit of dimension. I hope my swap group likes them!

Thank you for stopping by! And thank you again to Angela, AJ, the Unity crew, and all the Unity Junkies for making me feel so special today!! {{BIG HUGS!}}
~Michelle
