Dreaming Bird

Three posts in one day!! How crazy is that? Well, the last two posts were cards I made yesterday...this one I made today after seeing that Kristina had posted a new Color Inspiration challenge on her blog. I've been wanting to try these since she started (and often do make cards with the colors she suggests, just after the deadline)...so today was my chance! As soon as I saw the fun, kinda funky colors for CI18, I knew I wanted to use this bird, the second stamp in the Cuteworld Girl set from Autumn Leaves (the first was the crown I used on this card).

And yes, I paper pieced him. I'm totally hooked on paper piecing right now...don't worry, I'm sure a new craze will emerge in my stamp room soon *wink*

This was the color inspiration for this week, and the colors to use:
I don't have Green Galore paper, so I chose to go with the Summer Sun option. Though, looking at my card against the inspiration piece, I think Green Galore is the better match.

I was excited to use these yellow rhinestone brads, though! And, I love how it looks like the little bird is gazing at them, dreaming about his potential, as if they're stars in his Rose Red sky *wink*
