I *love* how this card turned out. The black is a bit unusual for me, but somehow everything just worked on this one. I made this earlier this afternoon for today's Sketch Challenge (SC189) at SCS. And yes, I paper-pieced again...but really, can you blame me? These Giggle Grove trees from Unity Stamp Co. were just crying out for a little patterned paper! *smiles*
This is definitely a sketch I'll be keeping in my arsenal, since it's so simple and versatile. All the patterned paper came from the now retired Jersey Shore DP from SU! I hand-cut the 'hill', and thought the bird was cute, looking over the 'edge' like he's trying to find his buddy. (Yes, I do sometimes make up these kinds of stories...it satisfies my DS (4) Daniel's curiosity, and mine, when he asks "What is that bird doing?") *wink*
Thanks for stopping by!
~Michelle
