Downcast Angel Sympathy card

I made this for a friend at church whose brother passed away yesterday. Sympathy cards are not my favorite to do, but unfortunately, they do have to be done. I think I may make up a few to stash away for those times I'm not up to creating.

I got the idea for the color scheme from Stampin' Up!'s new catalog that starts Monday. They have a new (started in the last catalog) feature of 'trendy' color schemes called "Style Watch". This is a portion of one titled "Silhouette"...it includes the new Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze "In Colors", plus Not Quite Navy, Basic Gray, Sage Shadow, and Sahara Sand. It's a very sophisticated color palette. I used the last three for this card, since it had a very calm, subdued feel.

After making this, I had to make a happy card, so I made one with my new "hey Cupcake" set...but that will have to come later, since I'm not quite sure yet how to download on our new system. Philip switched us to Linux last night since Windows was giving us so many issues. It's running *SO* much smoother now, but for some reason the spell check wants to spell everything in the Queen's English *wink* (i.e. 'colour' and 'favourite' instead of 'color' and 'favorite') Funny, funny.

That's all for now! I'll be back with my happy cupcake card soon! Have a great day!

This is lovely. I have such a hard time with sympathy cards, but I love what you did. So understated and subtle.
